Pastoral Care

Robby Holcomb ministers in the area of pastoral care.  Robby has been on staff as the Minister of Pastoral care since January 2000.   Robby was born in Dallas, Texas.  From age 8, he was raised in Mount Pleasant and grew up attending South Jefferson Baptist Church.  He was saved at age 11.  At age 16, Robby surrendered to the gospel ministry.   He graduated high school from South Jefferson Christian Academy.  He has a bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington.  He is married to Amy and they have two boys, Riley and Brandon.

Robby coordinates our Tuesday morning nursing home service and makes visits to area hospitals to pray with and encourage our folks who may be in a hospital.  He also helps with advertising for special events and assists in computer support.
He teaches the Believers Sunday school class.  When needed, Robby leads music as Amy plays piano.

His ministry is rather unique in that he is confined to a wheelchair resulting from a spinal cord injury in 1984.  He also sings in the choir and as a soloist.  Robby ministers to other churches from time to time by singing and sharing his testimony of God’s grace and goodness.  His warm, ready smile and baritone voice are two gifts from God that encourage the saints.

I am so thankful for the opportunities that God grants me to serve Him. God’s grace amazes me each and every day.  My heart is that we all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God bless us all richly.

Because He lives,
Bro. Robby
