Tommy Oglesby was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He graduated from Fountain Lake High School and then attended and graduated from Baptist Christian College in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 1979, Bro. Tommy married Risa Owen. They have one son, Lincoln Oglesby, one son and daughter-in-law, Luke and LeAnn Oglesby, one daughter, Lydia Morales, two grandsons, Isaiah Marcos Morales and Luke Thomas Oglesby and two granddaughters, Lily Austin Oglesby and Ilee Risa Morales.
Bro. Tommy served the first six years of ministry as a Youth Director and has served the past 32 years as pastor. He has been the Senior Pastor the South Jefferson Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas since 1988. Other ministry opportunities have included Bible conferences, revivals, prison rallies, mission trips, men's conferences and Sunday School seminars.
